Cheap vs Expensive Clothes & Accessories

Let's just ramble abit today about fashion. Lately, I've been in the mood to wear dresses. The other day, I bought this belt for about $20SG because I wanted something to use on my empire line, to cinch a floaty dress. I thought the dress would look better cinched in. Who knew that the belt would hurt me and cause a bruise on my rib? I guess it's because I have very bad posture. It's elastic so it has some give but that big faux leather part is stiff and it hurt me! 005copy I have always felt too tall in a world full of very very small and thin girls. At about 168cm without heels, I am not exactly tiny so I tended to slouch and formed a bad habit. I guess the belt cut into my rib as a result. So, I should only wear this belt on my waist, not at the empire line ... but I don't really like to wear belts on my waist ... Sigh, another "cheap" item that has turned out to be "expensive" instead ... maybe pass this to my mom ... who'll pass it to one of my much younger cousins ... Here are 2 dresses that I am very pleased with. They look good for work. I'd been eyeing them for some time and grabbed them when they were 50% off during the Chinese New Year period. Even at a 50% discount, they were purchased at quite alot of money ... but you know what? They are flattering for my not so slim body! I didn't include in the photo, the belts that came with the dresses. They really create a nice line with the belts. I guess you get what you pay for in terms of cut and fabric. Really in the mood for them and for new ones too. 008copy 007copy © Copyright. All rights reserved.

168? That's perfect height!! I wish I were 168.. hahaha, or even 170... If I could only be a few cm shorter!!! :[ I always felt self conscious about my height when I was in Taiwan, but in the US not so much, hahahaha.

The dresses are lovely! I love dresses too :) Any nice shops to recommend?

I empathise abt the height. I kinda feel the same way too esp when growing up, all my girl frens were much shorter and smaller. Maybe it's just Singapore? Felt better when I was in Melbourne actually.

Would it help if I told you I'm the same height? kekeke ...
